Our CEO was recently interviewed on “Business Matters” where she spoke in-depth about sustainability – focusing on Sustainable Development and Waste Management.
Lolo Idu [our CEO] is a dynamic pension fund expert in both pension administration and custody in Nigeria’s contributory pension scheme.
She has contributed innovative and positive changes in the industry, influencing regulations, challenging the status quo, and increasing awareness in the pension scheme. Her experience spans funds management, compliance and risk management, client relationship management, and customer experience in the financial and oil and gas sectors.
Idu is a social entrepreneur dedicated to saving our world and empowering the disenfranchised, especially women and street children, through the waste to wealth model. Helping solve a problem by reducing the high level of non-biodegradable wastes.
She is a highly motivated person with strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. She has a talent for motivating team members, proactively identifying and resolving problems, controlling costs, improving turnover, maximizing efficiency and profit, and adding value to the business. Other significant skills include strong speaking, writing, influencing, pioneering, and entrepreneurial skills, including being able to inspire people.
She self-published a book ,Beyond Me, a collection of stories from learned lessons from life’s choices. Idu Okwuosa-Okeahialam, Pension Guru: Her experience spans Funds Management, Compliance and Risk Management, Sales, Client Relationship Management and Customer Services in the Banking/Financial Institutions and Oil and Gas.l She was the Chief Compliance Officer of Stanbic IBTC Pensions Limited, as provided by the Pension Reform Act (PRA 2004) and was responsible for ensuring that operations of the company were carried out in compliance with the provisions of the PRA, circulars and guidelines issued by the Commission.
As the Chief Executive Officer at Oceanic Pension Fund Custodian, she was fully responsible for driving the day to day operations of the business. She was the Head of Operations in Diamond Pension Fund Custodian Limited prior to joining Oceanic Pension Fund Custodian.
In the US, she played diverse roles as Portfolio/Risk Administrator, Corporate Actions Specialist, Fund Management and Compliance Manager at State Street Corporation and Brown Brothers Harriman, Boston, MA before relocating to Nigeria in 2006.
